VN Series 1 1988-11/1990 VN Series 2-VR 12/1990-4/1995 VS-VX 5/1995-2004 The reprofile price NZ$185.00 plus gst is the price to grind your own camshaft. Please note: Holden 3.8 V6 camshafts are made from steel and have been induction hardened to achieve the correct hardness needed for roller lifters. Excessive grinding and material removal will reduce hardness and can result in roller lifter and lobe failure. There are two ways to restore the hardness. 1. Hard Face overlay tig weld camshaft lobes and grind NZ$650.00 plus gst. 2. We can supply a brand new cam blank and grind NZ$720.00 plus gst. Camshaft profiles Stage 4 Master #350 and over will require either hard facing overlay or new cam blank. Pricing includes finish grinding.
